A unique tract of land with direct frontage on the Mark Twain National Forest as well as access through the National Forest to the North Fork River. This parcel offers multiple building/camping sites, some mature timber and even a few acres of pasture area.
This fall view picture was taken from the ACTUAL property. We are on the east side of the land looking to the west. A portion of the field you see in the photo is also on the property.
The topo map above shows how the property is situated. The property is highest on the east side by County Road 278. This is the best access to the property. The property also borders County Road 277 along its north side but it is steep off of the county road with no driveways on the north side. The black rectangles on the map represent different building/camping sites on the property. The trail on the property begins on the east side and winds down the hillside as you go west. Although you can drive to the property in any type of vehicle, in order to use the “trail” on the property you WILL need a four wheel drive, as it is quite steep.
This photo was taken on the west side of the property. The small pond is fed by a little spring on the property and it tends to attract a lot of deer. The North Fork River would be about 200 feet past the trees on the left side of the photo (the large trees are the start of the National Forest).
Down below we have loaded a fairly long video which shows the property. If the video does not show up right away please wait several seconds. If it STILL does not show up then please cut and paste the link underneath into your browser to view the video.

To get to the property from Springfield, Missouri just go east on Highway 60 to the town of Cabool then go south on Highway 181. Stay on 181 for about 20 miles and then go west onto County Road 278 which is gravel (shown as County Road 275 on some maps). Now go about two miles and as soon as you PASS County Road 277 start looking for the blue gate on the right side of the road.
Please be sure to print out all of the maps if you are going to the property, or send us an email and we will be happy to email all of the maps and pictures directly to you.
