SORRY, THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN SOLD.
Private wooded acreage in an area well known for deer and turkey! This large 20 acre tract is located in Howell County, Missouri between the towns of Mountain View, Missouri and West Plains, Missouri. Not only can you hunt, camp and explore on your own private 20 acres, you are also just a short dirve to over 10,000 acres of National Forest which can also be used for hunting, fishing, camping, trail riding and recreation. Several great rivers are within about a half hour from the property as well.
This 20 acre tract is on the south side of one of our newest projects which is “Whitetail Crossing”. The property has good access on a private road which is only for the use of property owners and their guests. The road dead ends at the south side of Whitetail Crossing so the area is very private. This 20 acres is Tract 6 and Tract 7 at Whitetail Crossing. We combined the two tracts to create this large piece of acreage.
The photo above shows trees on the property. There are numerous places on the 20 acres that would be excellent spots to build or camp.

This photo above shows the tracts at Whitetail Crossing. The 20 acres would be Tract 6 and Tract 7 which have been combined.
You will see the signs for Tract 6 and Tract 7 when you get to Whitetail Crossing.
There are multiple areas on the property that would be suitable for building, camping or hunting. If you decided to build toward the middle or the west side of the property you would be totally secluded and out of sight of the roadway.
In this photo the truck in parked on the private road which serves the properties at Whitetail Crossing. This private road is for property owners only which gives the tracts a great feeling of seclusion.
The property is located about 6 miles southwest of Mountain View, Missouri and about 15 miles north of West Plains, Missouri. There is a HUGE tract of National Forest just a few miles to the west (shown on the map below). The property is private and secluded (with an amazing amount of wildlife) but is also within driving distance of several nice towns.
The map above shows the location of the property. It is also less than two hours to Springfield and Branson, Missouri.

This tract is subject to the 6 basic restrictions as shown on our website (no mobile homes, etc.). Homes or cabins built on the property must have a minimum concrete foundation size of 600 square feet (a simple 20 X 30 cabin would meet this requirement). Portable buildings are permitted for camping and storage but not for a permanent residence (unless they are at least 600 square feet and permanently attached to a 600 square foot foundation).

Close-up aerial map of the property. It is about 675 feet north to south, about 1,550 feet east to west on the north side and about 850 feet east to west on the south side. There is a 50 foot setback from the centerline of the private drive for road and utility purposes, so the property begins 50 feet from the center of the road.
To get to Whitetail Crossing from Mountain View, Missouri just go south out of town on Highway 17 for about 3 1/2 miles then go west onto County Road 2800. Go about 2 miles and when County Road 2800 takes a sharp turn to the right (north) you will go left (south) onto the private road that serves Whitetail Crossing. Please keep in mind that since we just recently got these properties the private road has not yet been graded and cleaned up. Although you could probably make it in a car it would be much better to take a truck or an suv.
Please feel free to go and check out the property. You will definitely want to print out all of the maps we have provided before visiting the property. If you would like us to email you all of the maps and pictures just let us know. Feel free to walk around or to bring your four wheeler to do some exploring. Power and phone are within about 1/2 a mile. We had good cell service (AT&T and Verizon are two two we tried) on all of the tracts at Whitetail Crossing.
If you are coming from the Willow Springs direction it is probably quicker to go south onto Highway “V” off of Highway 60. It will turn into County Road 2710. Go east onto County Road 2800 and proceed to the private road into Whitetail Crossing.
This is one of those rare investment opportunities upon which you can create lifelong memories with family and friends.
