The 28 Acres
The 28 acres has a private driveway coming off of the private road with a small cleared building/camping site. The terrain on the property varies from level to steep with the larger level areas being on the west side and the north side. The property borders the private road along its entire north side and borders a wet weather creek along its entire south side. One one part of the creek bed you will find a small cliff and at the base of the cliff there appears to be a couple of small openings which could be the entrance to caves. The property was logged about 8-10 years ago and has since grown back with thousands of young trees (mostly oaks). There also are many large trees which were not cut when the parcel was logged.
Directions to the property
To get to the property from Mountain View, Missouri, go south on Highway 17 for about five miles. Take a right (west) onto County Road 2660 which is a gravel road. Stay on 2660 for about two miles and it will take a sharp turn to the left, this is where you go RIGHT onto Private Road #2661. Now stay on 2661 for about one miles and you will see the property on the right (as soon as you cross the dry creek bed the property in on the right). Private Road #2661 is a minimum maintenance road. It is generally graded once a year or as necessary so that it is passable with a four wheel drive truck or suv. There is one fairly steep hill and at the bottom of the hill the road crosses over the creek bed which is dry almost all of the year. The Private Road dead-ends about a mile after the property so there is virtually no traffic, making for a very peaceful setting.
