An unbelievable tract of land with direct frontage on the North Fork River as well as the Mark Twain National Forest. This property includes a small cabin (unfinished). This tract offers multiple building/camping sites, some mature timber and even some pasture area.
The little cabin was built about 6 years ago. It sits on a concrete slab and is unfinished on the inside. Power and phone are at the county road but have not been run to the cabin.
The topo map above shows how the property is situated. The property is highest on the south side by County Road 278. The red square represents the location of the cabin. Pink respresents the cleared site at the river. The brown and green sqaures represent additional cleared sites. The blue area is an open area on the south side of the property. The green shaded areas on the map above are the Mark Twain National Forest. As you can see the acreage borders the National Forest on its northwest side as well as the south side (across the county road). The property borders the North Fork River on its northeast side. Although you can drive on to the south end of the property in any type of vehicle, in order to drive to the cabin you will need a four wheel drive, as it is fairly steep.
This photo was taken from the property looking down the river (the land is on the left side of the river in this photo).
Down below we have loaded two videos which show the property. The first video shows the drive from the county road to the cabin. The second video shows the drive from the cabin to the river site.
If the videos do not show up (sometimes common on phones and tablets) then please copy and paste the links below into your browser for the direct links to the videos:
To get to the property from Springfield, Missouri just go east on Highway 60 to the town of Cabool then go south on Highway 181. Stay on 181 for about 20 miles and then go west onto County Road 278 which is gravel (shown as County Road 275 on some maps). Now go about three miles and start looking for the cabin on the right side of the road. It is actually a little hard to see as it is set back from the road several hundred yards but if you look closely you should be able to spot it.
Please be sure to print out all of the maps if you are going to the property, or send us an email and we will be happy to email all of the maps and pictures directly to you.
The aerial photo above shows how the property is situated (it is 29.156 acres in size).
