Please click on the video below to take an “In-Depth” look at this beautiful tract ON the National Forest:
Tract 3 at Pine Grove and is 5.301 acres in size. It borders the Mark Twain National Forest along its entire east side. The property borders County Road 421 along its entire west side. The property is all wooded with pine, oak, hickory, cedar and many other species of trees.
This aerial map shows Tract 3 at Pine Grove which borders the Mark Twain National Forest for about 325 feet along its east side.
PLEASE NOTE: The MapRight map (above) does NOT show the National Forest correctly – The National Forest DOES directly border the entire east side of this property. This is probably because when the original “base map” of the area was produced many years ago that it had not yet reflected additional property that had been added to the National Forest.
This 5 acre tract offers a rare chance to access a huge amount of public land. Set up your camp, cabin or home and have DIRECT access to over 10,000 additional acres of land in the Mark Twain National Forest.
The topo map above shows how the land “lays” on this private tract. It slopes up as you head east (toward the National Forest) from the County Road. There is actually a valley running directly through the property which might have some cool rock formations in it. There appears to be a large level area at the northeast side of the property, next to the National Forest.
Looking westerly over part of the property. This property contains timber of all sizes including white oak, red oak, pine, hickory and cedar. Please note that the timber may not be cut or sold until the property has been paid for in full (exceptions may be made for trails/building sites).
The Interactive Map (below) is a great way to get familiar with the area and with the property:
Please refer to this interactive map for additional property views and information. Please note that the boundary lines and measurements are approximate. This interactive map is BRAND NEW for us and if you have a chance we would love to have your feedback on it. Is it awesome? Is it great? Is it confusing? We would like to know! You may have to use the “zoom” function on the right side of the map to get to the property, which is outlined in red.
Also, please note that on the interactive map it seems to work best if you click the “View Full Screen” option. Once you are in the “Full Screen” option you can select “Topo” to see a topographic map which does a good job of showing how the property is situated.
There are multiple areas on the property that would be suitable for building, camping or hunting. County Road 421 borders the west side of the property. The property rises up as you go east toward the National Forest. Please see the video below to take a good look at the property.
The map above shows the route to the property from the town of Birch Tree, Missouri.
This property is private and secluded (with an amazing amount of wildlife) but is also within driving distance of several nice towns. Birch Tree, Winona and Mountain View, Missouri are all within about 20 minutes of the property (Mountain View has the all-important Wal-Mart).
To see a video of Tract 3 at Pine Hollow Please Click on the video below. PLEASE NOTE: In the video below we walk onto the property from a section of road where the land rises up right away. At the time, we did not notice that there was a much better place to access the property, about 100 feet behind our truck!
To watch a short video of the east side of the property (where it joins the National Forest) please click on the video below:

Map showing the location of the property within the Ozarks. Excellent location, under 2 hours to Springfield, MO and Branson, MO. Also only about half a day’s drive to Kansas City and even closer to St. Louis.
This tract is subject to the standard Property Covenants as shown on our website (no mobile homes, etc.). Homes or cabins built on the property must have a minimum concrete foundation size of 600 square feet (a simple 20 X 30 cabin would meet this requirement).
To see the standard Property Covenants please click here.
To get to Pine Grove from Birch Tree, Missouri go east on Highway 60 for about two miles then go north on County Road 421. The road curves right and you will immediately go left onto a gravel road (still County Road 421). Now go about one mile, go right at the “T” (still County Road 421) and continue about another mile to Pine Grove.
Tract 3 will be the third tract that you see. There will be a sign on the right side (east side) of the road saying “Tract 3”. Be sure to ask us for the MapRight Link as there is also another small development on the way to these tracts, which can be confusing!
When you visit the property PLEASE print out the maps and directions we have provided as it can be tricky the first time you drive to the property. If you would like us to email you all of the maps and pictures just let us know. Feel free to go check out the property and walk all around.
This property DIRECTLY borders the Mark Twain National Forest. This is a rare opportunity to have easy access onto THOUSANDS of acres of land, right at your doorstep.
If you have been looking for a nice tract of land for a while then you already know how hard it is to find acreage adjoining public land. This property is one of the VERY FEW tracts we have had with direct frontage on the National Forest. This is one of the ONLY tracts we have ever had that has direct frontage on a County Maintained Road AND the National Forest.
This property is in the heart of a popular recreational area. People travel from all over the country to hunt, fish, camp and play in this area! The popular Eleven Point River is just a few miles to the south. The equally popular Jack’s Fork River is just a few miles to the north. The Jack’s Fork River flows east through the town of Eminence which is nationally known for trail rides, canoeing and tubing. You will not get bored around here.
We saw no signs of any recent logging on this property.
