SORRY, THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN SOLD!
Tract 9 at Hawk’s Roost is a large 11 acre tract. Its entire west side borders the gravel easement road at Hawk’s Roost, giving it great access. Although some tracts at Hawk’s Roost were heavily logged, Tract 9 appears to have not been heavily logged on the east side or the west side. The middle does appear to have been heavily logged which gives you the opportunity to create a meadow, yard or a food plot to attract the deer.
PLEASE NOTE – This property has a recent survey and it is 11.021 acres in size. Some of the photos/videos in this listing were created before the survey was complete, and they incorrectly show the property as only being 10 acres in size. It is, in fact, a full 11.021 acres in size!
In the video below, we use our interactive map to check out the property and area:
The property has multiple locations that might be excellent for building and camping sites. The portion that was logged could potentially be turned into a pasture/yard/garden or it could just be left for wildlife habitat as it grows back.

Please refer to our interactive map above for additional property views and information. Please note that the boundary lines and measurements are approximate. This interactive map is BRAND NEW for us and if you have a chance we would love to have your feedback on it. Is it awesome? Is it great? Is it confusing? We would like to know!
Also, please note that on the interactive map it seems to work best if you click the “View Full Screen” option. Once you are in the “Full Screen” option you can select “Topo” to see a topographic map which does a good job of showing how the property is situated.
The topo map above shows how Tract 9 is situated. The property is accessed off of the private gravel easement road (shown in green) which comes off of County Road 255. The property appears to be basically level on the west side by the road and it slopes down gently as you head to the east. The east side of the property (where you will find the cedar grove) is level.
In the video below, we explore this tract on foot:
In the second video (below) we explore the tract from the air, with our drone:
The photo above shows an existing trail on Tract 9.
Feel free to check out the property if you would like. From Mountain Grove, Missouri go south on Highway 95 for about 20 miles to Highway 14. Go west on Highway 14 for about 7 miles to County Road 255 on the left (north). Take County Road 255 for about 1/2 a mile and go left onto the easement road which will take you to the property.
Please print the map above (as well as the other maps and directions) when you visit the property. We will be happy to email, text, fax or mail the maps and directions to you if you would like!
We will also be happy to email you the “MapRight” link which will be very helpful when you visit the property. If you have a smartphone you can download the MapRight app, although you can still view the map in your browser on your smartphone without the app. This is by far the best way to view the property if you have a smartphone or tablet with cell/internet service.
In the photo above we are parked on the easement road at the west side of the property. The property is on the left side of the road.
All Tracts at Hawk’s Roost are subject to the 6 basic restrictions as shown on our website (no mobile homes, etc.). Homes or cabins built on the property must have a minimum concrete foundation size of 600 square feet (a simple 20 X 30 cabin would meet this requirement).
To see the 6 standard Deed Assurances please click here.
As with all of our properties, there is a 100 foot setback from all shared roadways (highway, county road and easement roads) for utility purposes. This ensures that you will have access to power and phone if/when you need it. The utility easement along the sides/back of each property is 30 feet. Also please note that timber with a stump diameter larger than 8 inches may not be cut, sold or removed until the property has been paid for in full (we can give written exceptions for creating building sites and driveways).
