Although the majority of the property is open there appeared to be a fringe of aspen trees on the north side.
This 10 tract measures about 330 feet east to west and about 1,320 feet north to south. It is almost all open with small brush. These photos were taken several years ago and the brush may be larger now. When we visited the property it did not appear to be swampy BUT much of it did seem “soft” which means this property is best suited for hunting and recreation. This area is WELL KNOWN for massive deer. If you like to fish you will want to check out the popular Lake Of The Woods which is only about an hour from the property.

PLEASE print out all of the maps before making a trip to the property. The land is private but it still well located. From Thief River Falls, Minnesota, take Hwy 32 north, after about 40 miles take a right onto County Road 8, go seven miles and the land is on the right (behind the state land). You should see the gravel pit on the State Land where you can pull off and park.
Although we have not visited the property in quite a while we do have the G.P.S. coordinates which should be for about the northeast corner of the 10 acres, which is where we found this pink ribbon. They are: 48.5979120, -96.005927.
